Educating Linguistically Diverse Students

Brittany Burns

Hello everyone! My name is Brittany Burns and this is my first semester in the UNM program. This is my sixth year of college and I am so excited to be nearing the end of my college career! I have a son who is 14 months old and he is my inspiration for pushing through the tough times! I can't wait to become a teacher and have the opportunity to touch the lives of children in a positive way. I am still not sure what grade I want to teach because my mind changes constantly but I feel most drawn to early elementary grades. I know that the experiences I will gain from my classes will help guide me towards the grade that best suits my teaching skills.
