Vicki Bruno:
I really enjoyed the opportunity to have Vicki Bruno in our class. Even though we have had to cancel her stay in our class short, I still feel that I gained useful information from her in the short amount of time she was there. I am interested in possibly teaching to the deaf one day and Vicki was able to answer a few questions that I have had on my mind about furthering my education. It was great getting to talk to someone with such an interesting and rewarding career. I liked the examples she used in class such as the tape she played, showing us how little a deaf or hard of hearing person hears sound. Vicki seems passionate about her job and what she does for deaf students. I think that we need more teachers like Vicki in the school systems who can spread knowledge to students about different languages and the people who speak them. I wish we could have a guest speaker for every different language. :)
